Balance4ward

Balance4ward Passionate about building legacy. We help cattle feeders grow their business. Services range from production to back office. We feed cattle.

We have started and scaled a business. We share our solutions. BALANCE4WARD is a cattle feeding management company. Our purpose is to create opportunities for mid-market cattlemen who want to get more out of their business. We believe mid-market cattlemen do not feel like they are on a level playing field. We have a plan to build a better beef supply chain to help producers get more profit out of a steak.

The key to growing your business is investing in your people.

When you invest in your team, you give them a reason to care deeper, think bigger, and grow with the business. They begin to understand the mission, take ownership of their role, and work alongside you to move the operation forward.

If you want to take the business to the next level, start with the people helping you build it. Balance4ward can help guide that conversation and put a system in place to create more clarity and direction. To get started, call us at 712-785-3766 or reach out here: https://ow.ly/7YfA50Z4RrR

Memorial Day is a reminder to pause and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to this country.

For those of us in agriculture, that freedom is not something we take lightly. It’s part of the land we work, the families we provide for, and the way of life we’re proud to carry forward.

Today, we honor their sacrifice with gratitude and respect.

Are you waiting until cattle show heat stress to take action?

Even moderate heat stress can reduce daily gain in feedlot cattle, with research showing ADG losses around 7% during heat-stress conditions.

There are several ways to help alleviate heat stress in cattle, but the right approach depends on your operation.
- Shade
- Feed additives
- Misters
- Water access
- Timing of feed delivery

Heat stress does not give you much warning. Your plan needs to be ready before the cattle need it.

We’re proud to recognize Kapco Futures as a Prime Sponsor of the 2026 Cattle Feeder Summit on July 31 in Omaha, Nebraska. Hear from Luke Frantz on what Kapco Futures is looking forward to at the Summit:

“Kapco Futures was built on the belief that cattle feeders deserve the same sophisticated risk management tools that the big players have always had access to.

The Cattle Feeder Summit is always exciting for us because Balance4ward has created an environment where we get to meet producers that are already business savvy, but still hungry for more. Watching how this Summit has grown has been incredible.

We’re thrilled to connect with feeders who are navigating through this volatile market. Stop by our booth and let’s talk about how we’re seeing the current market structure.”

Meet Jenna Hellbusch, our spring semester Commodities Accountant Intern at Balance4ward.

Jenna joined us during her final semester at the University of Nebraska Omaha and spent the past few months learning more about the inner workings of the business, from invoice processes to internal workflows.

“I've really enjoyed my time at Balance4Ward for the past couple of months. My favorite part of this experience were the people who welcomed me and helped teach me about the company and practices. I was able to learn a lot about the insides of a business such as where the invoices go once they are received and how they are applied internally. During my time, I also had the opportunity to play with artificial intelligence automation for processes that were simple and repetitive. My goal was to make the day-to-day process more efficient to be able to work on more important tasks.”

Thank you, Jenna, for your hard work and curiosity throughout your time with Balance4ward. We’re excited to see what you do next!

What started as a feed merchandising customer has grown into a deeper partnership with one Iowa cattle feeder.

Like many producers, he is making important decisions every day while managing cattle, leading the operation, and moving the business forward. Having another set of eyes and the right insight has helped bring more clarity, more focus, and more confidence to those decisions.
