Orange County officials announced that they are opening the fairgrounds in Costa Mesa to help relieve at-capacity shelters, providing space for evacuees in RVs.

With most shelters at capacity, Eyewitness News spotted many families staying in their cars in the parking lot of the shelters.

🎉 BIG NEWS! 🎉 Galway Downs has been selected to host the FIRST EVER West Coast United States Eventing Association, Inc. (USEA) Intercollegiate & Interscholastic Eventing League Championships in 2027!

The next generation of eventers is coming to Temecula, and we could not be more excited to welcome them. Team challenges, top honors, the Spirit Award and SO much more -- it's all coming to Galway. We can't wait to celebrate these riders alongside our eventing community here in Southern California.
