ACityDiscount (established in 1973) was born from my father’s desire to maintain an active lifestyle after he sold his last restaurant. He bought restaurant equipment from auctions and shortly after, transformed this hobby into a growing business. By 1999, we struggled to move local stock. Close to closing our doors, we searched for a new way to reach customers. Around this time, we purchased a collection of used coffeemakers. My son, Marty, recommended that we sell them on eBay. The rest is ACityDiscount history! ACityDiscount became an industry leader in e-commerce and later, a national brand. This journey has granted us the opportunity to aid business owners across the country, helped me protect my father’s legacy and build one of my own. I look forward to one day turning ACityDiscount over to my son so he and his children can experience the joys of running a family-owned business.
