Thank you to Sara Putters for coming to present at 1 Million Cups Norfolk today. She shared more about her business, Putters Media, a boutique marketing firm specializing in agency-level marketing services for healthcare organizations.

Sara works with each client directly to help them share their stories and messages in the best way possible so that they can better connect with their community. After Sara creates a website, she helps educate them on how to use and update it, since a website is a business's best marketing tool, and she believes a business should own their website after it's created.

When asked "what as a community can we do for you," she said that marketing firms exist for a reason, to help take the load off so you can better run your business without the worry of needing to create content. She also shared that supporting local businesses, by buying from them or working alongside them, is one of the best things you can do.

We'd also like to give a big thank you to Aaron Hall with The Daily Roast for providing coffee for 1MC Norfolk this month.

We'd like to thank Sean Fintle, the Founder and CEO of GrazeStat for coming to present at 1 Million Cups Norfolk last week.

GrazeStat is a patent-pending platform backed by a provisional patent containing more than 100 claims designed to protect its core technology and intellectual property. This system has the potential to improve horse health, and possibly beyond in the future, through continued AI learning. By using predictive intelligence with 24/7 monitoring, horse owners and vets can spot concerning patterns and address problems before they escalate.

Sean also shared that GrazeStat is built by horse owners for horse owners. This allows him to better understand what horse owners need and what to offer to help keep their horses healthy.

Yesterday at 1 Million Cups Norfolk we welcomed Emily Allen from Tech Nebraska

Emily shared how Tech Nebraska strengthens the state's tech ecosystem through advocacy and collaboration, keeping Nebraska competitive and future ready. Their work centers on four core principles: championing pro-growth policies, committing to universal access, fostering collaboration and public-private partnerships, and promoting data-driven governance.

Emily also gave us a preview of the Built Here Microsummit happening July 21 at Northeast Community College. Panels will cover manufacturing and technology, founders and ecosystem building, and AI in agriculture and the future of work, plus a behind-the-scenes tour of iHub before its grand opening in August.
