Congratulations to Eric Eszlari on his graduation today from the Career Recruit Fire Academy at the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services’ Bridgewater Campus.

The wearing of a leather fire helmet is a longstanding tradition in the fire service. As is tradition within our union, Eric was presented with a brand new Cairns N5A leather fire helmet to recognize his accomplishment.

Early this morning, at 12:50AM, Firefighters with Engine 2 were requested to respond to assist Bellingham Firefighters Local at a 2nd Alarm on Temi Rd. Crews from Norfolk functioned as a Rapid Intervention (Firefighter Rescue) team as well as assisted with fire suppression. The duty crew returned to Norfolk just before 4AM.

While in Bellingham, an Engine company was requested from Wrentham Firefighters Local 2579 to cover the town of Norfolk due to off duty members being unavailable to respond for coverage.

Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of those affected by this fire.
