Senior Police Officer Heather Ziegler is passionate about community service and building positive relationships between the Williamsburg Police Department and the community we proudly serve, which she has done throughout the past 9 years of her career with WPD.

As our Community Engagement Officer, Officer Ziegler works alongside Crime Prevention Offer & SRO, Master Police Officer Herb Williams, to create meaningful opportunities for residents to connect with law enforcement, learn about resources, ask questions, and feel comfortable engaging with WPD.

Together, with the SRO's, they believe community engagement is about more than simply showing up—it’s about listening, building trust, creating partnerships, and finding new ways to bring our community and police department together.

She is eager to serve in this new role, and looks forward to meeting you at community events, programs, and throughout the City of Williamsburg! 💙

🐾 Honoring Our Four-Legged Heroes on National Police K-9 Day 🐾

Today, on National Police K-9 Day, all of us at Pinnacle TCI take a moment to honor the incredible brave service, relentless loyalty, and ultimate sacrifices made by our Police K-9s.

We remember the fallen K-9 heroes who lost their lives in the line of duty, and our thoughts are with the dedicated handlers who walked alongside them. The bond between a handler and their K-9 partner is unmatched, forged through trust, shared danger, and deep affection.

This commitment to remembering our fallen K-9s is why Law Enforcement United Inc. does the annual "RUFF Ride"—a roughly 225-mile journey to Washington, D.C., held every May during National Police Week. Every mile pedaled serves as a tribute to the dogs who gave everything to protect our communities and ensures their service is never forgotten. One of our owners, Brian, has ridden this the last 2 years and is scheduled to ride again in May 2027!

To all the active K-9 teams staying vigilant today, and to the fallen heroes who paved the way: thank you for your service. 💙🐕‍🦺🇺🇸

🚨 Pinnacle TCI is looking for an instructor!

We are seeking a qualified, experienced instructor to teach our 3-Day Child Death Investigations course to law enforcement agencies across the country.

Do you have the experience, knowledge, and skill set to teach investigators how to effectively investigate these difficult and complex cases? If so, we want to hear from you.

The core curriculum is already built, but we encourage our instructors to bring their own real-world case examples, experiences, and case studies into the classroom. The selected instructor will have the flexibility to modify and tailor the existing curriculum to fit their teaching style and expertise—using as much or as little of the existing material as they feel is appropriate.

🐾National Dog Day🐾

Today is National Dog Day. Our K-9 partners are an extremely important part of the job. One way we stay committed to our motto of is by supporting K-9s that have fallen in the line of duty.

Pictured is K-9 Knox, who Brian had the honor of riding for during last year with Law Enforcement United Inc. for the Maryland Route known as the Law Enforcement United - “Ruff Ride”

Our 4 legged partners lay their lives on the line and sometimes pay the ultimate price and today we take an extra moment to pause and recognize Knox and all the other K9s that paid that price for public safety.
