Since loosing my dad, I've been committed to helping grieving families. This desire pushed me into wanting to be sure we are prepared if a crisis strikes. Change is inevitable. It does not always feel good, but I believe beauty can always be found as life evolves!

One of the ways that I use my Bright Side Journal is by starting each journal entry with:

The Bright Side of (Insert something here that could be viewed as negative) is: (write something positive here.... a lesson learned maybe)

Here's another example: The Bright Side of me leaving work late with my babies and getting soaked in the rain is, once I was soaked, I was able to let the kids have fun by jumping in puddles. We spent time together, they loved making a wet mess and it made them happy. We laughed on the way home, showered and jumped in our pj's early, played silly bedtime games and got some good rest!

Last Friday, I tied a Mother and Daughter together in a tying ceremony. One of the most beautiful experiences ever. Tying ceremonies are short, private sessions where we reconnect you to the creator that you are. Yes, we grace your waist with a beautiful strand of sacred beads but, more importantly, we affirm your greatness. We begin to heal through remembering who we are, setting intentions and re-aligning with our purpose. Give yourself 30 minutes. 💕

Early last week, I stood inside of FedEx, taking care of some business. As I prepared to check out, a complete stranger started talking about me behind my back. No really, my back was turned and she legit said "I'm so glad you decided to do this. I'm glad you said yes." I looked around to see who she speaking to as she gave me a nod of confirmation. She continued "You know how the internet can be, but you got this, I feel it all over me, the money you desire today won't even be a thing in three years!" "You are going to change lives, I'm so glad you got up this morning and said I'm gonna do it! I'm so glad you are stepping out on faith."

She continued speaking over my life in ways I won't ever be able to explain. I asked for her name and she told me it was Portia. She kept her hand over her heart as she proclaimed "I feel your greatness." I looked at her and told her that recieved every single thing she said, I gave her my heartfelt gratitude as she finished handling her business at the register and we parted ways.

THE VERY NEXT MORNING:

I landed a contract with a real estate firm for a website build out and social media management.

Today, I am in talks with an electrical company.

Truthfully, these services have been on my website forever, but that day, Ms. Portia was right, I had gotten up and decided to focus a bit more on that part of my business. Part of me likes to think that my Daddy was there inside of Fed Ex. That Ms. Portia's affirmations over my life was the result of her beautiful spirit and connection to all things. Her willingness to be open to blessing a complete stranger is something I will never, ever forget. Thank you Ms. Portia! 🖤

I am always in Fed Ex for one reason or another handling business. Sometimes we easily take for granted the mundane until life shows us that there is power and potential in part of our story!
Every moment, no matter how seemingly insignificant, is truly a gift. I challenge you to make it count!
