October is National Manufacturing Month. And for us, this one is about the people. 💛

Hands that cut, weld, mold, assemble, package and load. People who solve problems when something doesn't go as planned. People who teach the person next to them what they've learned. People who show up early, stay late when it's needed, and take pride in putting their name behind something built well.

Some of those people have been doing it here for decades. Others are just getting started.

I asked for the perfect shot. I did not ask for acrobatics, a human step ladder, or this level of commitment... but I'm certainly not complaining. 😂

Sometimes getting the right angle takes a little creativity, a lot of determination, and one coworker willing to *literally* put the team on his shoulders.

Last Thursday, we set up an Appreciation Station and asked our team to take a minute to give a shout-out to someone they appreciate. 
And you guys... the board was pretty FULL. 🥹
Coworkers helping coworkers... Teams recognizing other teams. Thank-yous for the big things, the little things, and all those everyday moments that usually go unnoticed.
Then we made afternoon break a little sweeter with ice cream for the whole crew, because apparently gratitude tastes even better with sprinkles. 🍨😂
Work gets busy... Days get hectic... Sometimes it just feels good to stop for a minute and focus on the really good people around you.
Thanks to everyone who filled our board—and our cups—with a little extra positivity. 💛

Seven years later…and apparently we passed the test. 😏

Last week, we stopped by the Norfolk Wastewater Treatment Facility, just a few miles from where our doors are built.

Some of their Weiland doors have been taking on the not-so-glamorous conditions of wastewater for seven years. When it came time to add doors to their newer buildings, one of their employees told us he immediately recommended Weiland—and wasn't interested in trying anything else.

We'll take that compliment any day. 💛

We love seeing our doors all over the country, but earning the trust of the people right here in our own community? That one means a little more.
