The Village is seeking a hands-on, community-centered law enforcement leader who will provide dependable public-safety coverage, lead department personnel, and build strong relationships with residents, elected officials, schools, and regional partners.

📋 POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
💼 Full-time, salaried position
💰 Salary range: $65,000-$80,000
📅 Anticipated start date: November 2, 2026
🏥 Employer-paid health insurance
🏛️ Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund participation
🚔 Take-home squad car within the approved 30-mile residency area
🎓 Professional development, equipment, and allowances within the approved budget

✅ MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be certified through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board and possess prior law enforcement supervisory experience.

There were many that day that sacrificed their lives to help others. Our hearts and thoughts continue to go out to family members of those who lost their lives or were seriously injured that day.
