Your baby had crap naps today. Now what? 😫

First: take a deep breath.

I remember being a brand new mom and feeling SO much frustration and rage when my baby wasn't napping the way I thought they "should."

But here's what I wish I had known then:
One bad nap day isn't going to ruin your baby's sleep.

Heck, even several rough days aren't going to undo everything.

Instead of spending the rest of your day panicking and trying to fix it, focus on what you *can* do:
✔️Consider an earlier bedtime
✔️Don't panic if tonight is a little weird
✔️Avoid creating new sleep habits out of desperation
✔️Get yourself to bed earlier if you can
✔️Start fresh with your normal schedule tomorrow

Your baby is a tiny human. Not a perfectly calibrated sleep machine. 😂

Some days are just crap nap days. 🤷🏻‍♀️
And that's okay.
Save this for the next time your baby's naps go completely off the rails. You'll be glad you have it.

You probably don't need MORE information about your kid's sleep. You need a plan. 👏

I hear this ALL the time.

Parents have Googled it. They've read the books. They've asked their friends. They've followed the sleep accounts. They've even asked ChatGPT. 😂

And yet… they're still stuck. Because having 47 different pieces of sleep advice doesn't necessarily tell you what to do tonight.

That's exactly why I created my Sleep Coaching Crash Courses.

They're designed to get you OUT of information-gathering mode and into “Okay, tell me what to do and walk me through it.” mode.

You get my step by step sleep coaching process in a DIY format, so you can start making changes without paying hundreds of dollars for 1:1 support.

I've got one for:
👶 Babies 4–24 months
🧒 Toddlers & little kids 2–5 years

If you're tired of spinning your wheels and ready for an actual roadmap, comment SLEEP below and I'll help you figure out which one is right for you.

What if you’re making separation anxiety harder by trying so hard to avoid it? 👀

I know. This one can be hard to hear.

But instead of trying to make your baby’s separation anxiety disappear, what if we focused on helping them learn that separation is safe?

Naps + bedtime are actually great opportunities to practice:
👉🏻I can be away from Mom.
👉🏻I am safe.
👉🏻Mom always comes back.

Will your baby always be happy about it? Nope.
They may cry. They may protest. They may REALLY want you to stay. And that’s okay.

Our job isn’t to make sure our kids never experience hard emotions.

It’s to support them through those emotions while helping them learn new skills. ❤️

Save this for the next time separation anxiety makes bedtime feel extra hard.

Separation anxiety can make sleep feel SO much harder.

Your baby suddenly doesn't want you to leave the room. They cry when you put them down. They want you close for every nap and bedtime.

And it's very easy to think:
“How do I stop this?”

But what if we asked a different question?
“How can I support my baby through this?”

Because separation anxiety isn't something we need to completely avoid. In fact, avoiding every situation that causes anxiety can make it harder for our kids to learn that those situations are safe.

Naps and bedtime give us a really natural opportunity to practice separation in a safe, predictable environment.

Your baby gets to experience:
Mom leaves. I am safe. I fall asleep. Mom comes back.

And then they get to experience it again tomorrow.
And the next day.
And the next.

Does that mean they'll never cry when you leave? Nope.
Does it mean they'll suddenly LOVE separation? Probably not.

But with consistency and support, they can learn that being separated from you isn't something they need to fear.

That's a pretty powerful lesson to learn. 🩷

If you're dealing with separation anxiety and sleep struggles right now, save this post for later. And send it to a parent who needs this reframe.

Yeahhhhhh, that's a no from me. 😂

What things does your child always seem to ask for at bedtime?

Yup, that's right. You can do absolutely NOTHING to prepare for this upcoming time change! (Coming on Sunday, March 8th)

This is the easiest of the 2 time changes (and bonus!) if you have an early riser, this time change can help with that! 🎉

If you decide to "do nothing" that means you go about Saturday like you usually would. Then on Sunday morning you either let your child naturally wake or if they are sleeping too late for your liking, you can wake them and start their day! That's it and that's all folks! 👏

🏅 Gold medal in hoping for better sleep (without a plan) 😅

I get it. It's easy to wish your baby's (or toddler’s) sleep would magically improve. But the truth is… without a real plan, those wake ups, short naps, and bedtime battles just keep happening.

The good news? You DON’T have to figure it out alone.

🩷 Let’s create a clear, step by step sleep plan together. Book a FREE 15 minute call with me, and I’ll help you stop just waiting for better sleep AND actually start making it happen. 💤

You don't have to accept poor sleep from your toddler just because they are a toddler. Most sleep issues can be resolved with consistency, routines, boundaries, calm parent leadership, and an appropriate schedule.

Will it be challenging? Probably.
Will it be worth it? Absolutely.
