Sugar cookies came out perfect!

10/01/2026

Yesterday, I finished the last preparations for Sweet & Kind Co. Bakery’s opening. The website and ordering details were in place, the printed cards were ready, and I finally had a moment to look at what all this work had become. 💗
It was a quiet finish to a very full day. I’m grateful to everyone who has followed along while this little bakery came to life.
Today, October 1, is our grand opening! If you’re in the Norman or OKC area, come see what’s on the opening menu at sweetandkindco.com. Which would you choose first: a cookie, brownie, or cinnamon roll? 🍪

I started today feeling overwhelmed and so far behind. But I took it one batch at a time—and look what happened. 💕🍪

Today’s Sweet & Kind Co. Bakery progress:

🍪 Five dozen Sugar Cookies prepped
🎃 Five dozen Pumpkin Caramel Cookies prepped
🥜 Five dozen Peanut Butter Cookies prepped
🤎 One Biscoff test batch baked—and it was AMAZING!

That’s 15 dozen cookies prepped, plus one very successful recipe test!

The Biscoff cookie came out thick, beautiful, and absolutely delicious. Finished with a cookie-butter drizzle and its own Biscoff cookie on top, this one passed the test with flying colors.

Progress isn’t always neat or graceful. Sometimes it looks like a messy kitchen, stacks of cookie dough, and one very determined woman who finally found her momentum. Today was a BIG win for Sweet & Kind Co. Bakery. 🤎

Which flavor are you most excited to try—Sugar, Pumpkin Caramel, Peanut Butter, or Biscoff? Tell me below! 👇
