Well... today didn't exactly go as planned. 💗
My very first Sweet Spot Cottage Bakery pop-up was a lesson in... just about everything.
The Oklahoma wind had other plans. It knocked over my display, broke my sign, melted some of my treats, and then, just when I thought things couldn't get more interesting, the ants decided to join the party & swarmed my feet.
Not every first chapter is picture-perfect.
I also learned something else today. Whenever you decide to build something new, not everyone will cheer you on. That's okay.
This dream wasn't built to impress everyone.
It was built because I believe kindness matters. I believe homemade treats can brighten someone's day. I believe every small business starts somewhere, and every baker has a first market, a first mistake, and a first lesson.
So instead of giving up...
I came home.
I regrouped.
I officially reserved Sweet Spot Cottage Bakery with the State of Oklahoma, created an online order form, and started planning the next step.
That's what building a dream looks like.
It isn't always pretty.
But it's always worth it.
