Meet speaker Tim Schmoyer! Tim is a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer in MITRE’s Cyber Solutions Technical Center. He is the Technical Center’s Identity and Access Management Capability Area Lead and currently supports projects for the U.S. Federal Courts in the Judiciary Branch and many Departments in the Executive Branch including the Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense. His responsibilities include designing, developing, integrating, and assessing enterprise and tactical security solutions. He specializes in Identity and Access Management technical solutions, architectures, and policies to ensure scalable, interoperable, and federated capabilities across the U.S. government and internationally. Previously, Tim was the Chief Technology Officer at Jericho Systems Corporation after retiring from the United States Army as a Lieutenant Colonel. While in the military he successfully deployed communications for conventional and Special Operations Forces in austere tactical environments, taught Electrical Engineering and Computer Science as an Assistant Professor at the United States Military Academy, served as the Chief Architect for Combined Forces Command and United States Forces Korea communications (C/J6), and the Deputy Division Director and Chief Engineer for Identity Management at the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). He has several articles published in journal, conference proceedings, and professional publications. He has contributed to and has had his work cited in the U.S. Department of Commerce National Institute Standards and Technology Special Publications. He is an inventor (U.S. Patent # 9,485,248), a Certified Information System Security Professional and Senior member of IEEE.

Meet speaker Jonathan Kimmitt. As the Chief Information Security Officer for the University of Tulsa, Jonathan serves as the coordinator for PCI and GLBA. He also works closely with the FERPA/HIPAA coordinators and University legal teams for overall general data privacy compliance. Jonathan has 17 years of experience at TU in Information Services & Security Operations and has been involved with all aspects of IT at the University.

Meet speaker and RNT President Teresa Rule!

A native of Cleveland County, Oklahoma, Teresa Rule graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Letters. Teresa was an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps for 20 years during which she earned a Master’s degree in Education for Adult and Community Education from Eastern Carolina University. She served as a Transportation Officer before transitioning into Joint Special Projects. She served tours in the United States and Okinawa.

Teresa is the President and founding member of RNT Professional Services, LLC, a Cybersecurity and Security Project Management Services Organization. Teresa also serves as President of the Project Management Institute Oklahoma City and is on the National Small Business Association executive advisory board. Teresa holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification as well as the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certificate.

Teresa specializes in managing security projects management for organizations seeking proactive cyber secure and compliant environments. Her projects have included FISMA Compliance Projects, SOX, SAS 70, Data at Rest Encryption, Multi-Factor Authentication, Server Refresh and Identity and Access Management projects. Teresa has led 89 projects in the past 24 years and is a recognized Subject Matter Expert in Security Project Management. RNT specializes in Risk and Vulnerability Assessment for organizations with specific compliance concerns and training the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

When she is not running her business, working with the NSBA, volunteering with PMI OKC, supporting organizations on cybersecurity governance, or providing cybersecurity training to organizations, Teresa enjoys reading and travel. She is an active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Norman, OK, and likes to spend time with her husband of 36 years and their six children.
