For many reasons, one being the Covid-19 pandemic, our view on the importance of “what, why, and how” to work has undergone a seismic shift over the past few years. Nothing seems like it has been before and most of us think and rethink this relationship to which we have given, without being conscious of it, a large portion of our lives. This is true for men, but even more so for women.

Everyone, at one point or another, wants to be known for something and whether we realize it or not all of us, in fact, already are. Consider when a family member, friend, business associate, or industry colleague thinks of us. Something comes to mind - an adjective, an emotion, an experience or encounter. These mental impressions are how they categorize us; this categorization becomes the reputation we have with them. This reputation is how we are "branded" in the minds of those we know.

If you are in career transition, carefully considering and designing your professional brand will be a useful tool that will help you articulate your aspirations to others and create the "sound bites" you want others to use when they speak of you in their networks. In this session, you will learn some of the foundational principles of designing your professional brand and then practically apply those concepts through in-session exercises and engagement.
