Dave and Carol Spacht purchased the mill in 1983 and have maintained it as a "rural" sawmill, selling local hardwoods to craftsmen and woodworkers for utility and fine woodworking use. Old and new technology work together at Spacht Sawmill, where the 1950s circular mill is combined with a modern planing mill.

Spacht Sawmill Friends—
FREE OFFCUTS! DIY ONLY!

We are clearing the off-cut pile from the sawmill this summer — free until gone, but strictly DIY. No delivery. You must load your own vehicle. Truck, trailer, trunk — take what you need. Small saw might be helpful if you have to lop off a long piece to fit, but cutting to shorter firewood lengths on our property will not be permitted. Primarily mixed hardwoods, 8 to 10 foot lengths. We tossed the pile today and will periodically toss again to loosen and free boards. Work in the heat now, to enjoy free heat this winter - or in your summer firepit!
