1 year ago today, October 7th 2025, We experienced a devastating fire that consumed the contents of our fire station, resulting in a total loss of all fire gear, our station, and all fire apparatus with the exception of the Cheif’s command vehicle
A year later here we still stand with big spirits and the overwhelming commitment to serve our community. In the last year Hauser fire dept has been called to 331 calls of service of those we have responded to all 331 calls of service, one call coming in just hours after the fire. What has made it possible is the out pour of support from a strong community and our brothers and sisters amongst the fire community. The support has been remarkable and we want to thank each and everyone who has contributed in any way shape or form.
Now for some updates. With a loss of this size the insurance claim has been a fairly lengthy process, however we are making ground and we’re happy to say that we have gotten two pieces of apparatus ordered. One being a tender and the other being an engine. Along with that we are moving into the pre construction stages for the new station .
More good news! Since the fire we have taken delivery of 2 new vehicles. Our new rescue truck (front left) was ordered back in February 2025 and we took delivery of it may 2026
The next rig was started in June of 2024 and was long awaited. Our specialized dune rescue van (front right) was completed and ready for us to take delivery in February 2026
We would like to send a special thank you to everyone who has supported and stood by us!
we look forward to continuing to bring good news and updates as we continue to rebuild!
