The Rose and Fox families began our company back in 1930, when Irving “Speed” Rose invited his good friend Benjamin Fox to help expand his small hardware store on Portland Street in Boston, Massachusetts. Ninety-five years later, that partnership has grown into what is now known as The Portland Group. We still proudly call Boston home—and generations later, the company remains family-owned and operated by the Rose and Fox families. Together, we continue to serve Boston’s plumbing and HVAC community with the same dedication, craftsmanship, and tradition that started it all.
