Happy World Reef Day 💛 I fell in love with coral the second I saw pictures in a book. But I'll never forget seeing them in person for the first time. It was like a different world. Completely enchanting.

It's . I've been taking a social media hiatus to focus on content but here's a glimpse of what I've been working on: an excerpt from a 12-year-old character's diary who is grieving for a beloved aunt.

In addition to teaching kids about the ocean, I'm also looking forward to connecting to different parts of their lives that kids also struggle with - grief included. Showing kids that they are not alone and that their thoughts and feelings are valid is very important to me and I'm excited to share this once it's edited 💙

Any stories of how much you love whale sharks?

I was 8 years old when my mother took me to see an IMAX at the about the world's . I was hoping for a very scary IMAX full of White Shark teeth. Instead, I was enchanted watching this peaceful, beautiful floating on the screen. I've loved ever since.
