This next 2 weeks we should see some Celedron Quail start hatching. Gramps has worked on this for awhile. As he was putting a new net on his pole he realized
The quail he moved yesterday found a hole as he didn’t remember throwing a few dozen on the ground. Hole patched Most of the quail rounded up. Not chasing or sweating that one. All this will end with gramps, someday. No farmer /ranchers left in the immediate family. Seemed all the family graduates eyeing the medical field , Or corporate leadership. Another Farming Ranching old timer throwing retirement into the mix. This year 3 farmer/rancher / Poultry Owners retired with no one to replace them.

Finally the Quail have been moved from brooders to outside.
Now available for your cages .Well started ,feathered and ready for the next stage. 6 straight run @$25. These are all Courtnix Quail, Next week Gramps Celedron Courtnix Quail are scheduled to start hatching. Haven’t discussed availability with pops yet.will post once I know his agenda with them .

Gramps got out the compressor &fixed the loose screen. What a shame. The turkeys are starting to pip 13 eggs dropped to hatch tray.

Last night some racc***s ripped down a cage killed all the turkeys and allowed the Celedron quails escape. Thank God Gramps was able to round up his Celedron (his project) tonight will be the first time in ages Gramps will set the traps. Hes Mad! With their cage stapled shut again ,we start over..
Gramps favorite trap Dukes Dog Proof : never fails (c***s) (racc***s will stick their hand in a pipe to secure food which then sets the trap and they’re there till gramps disposes of them ,live & let live till ,yall touch mine then it’s personal!

So many of you have been asking for gramps to bring in meat birds. He said they eat & s**t to much and at this point he’ll eat a strangers bird if need be. Gramps usually made $1/.50 a bird but being he doesn’t want extra work or your hard earned money:
