☄️Quadrantid Meteor Shower Tonight☄️
The Quadrantids are one of the fastest and most intense meteor showers of the year, delivering bright streaks across the sky during its peak window.
🌕 What to Expect This Year
A bright Full Moon will reduce visibility, so rates will be lower than average. Many faint meteors will be lost in the moonlight, but the Quadrantids are still known for producing occasional bright fireballs that can stand out.
⏰ Peak Timing Notice
The Quadrantids have one of the shortest peak windows of any major meteor shower—only a few hours. For your best chance, watch in the early morning hours of January 4, especially between 3:00–7:00 AM local time, when activity is highest before dawn starts washing the sky out.
🌌 Where to Look
Face north to northeast, toward the area near the Big Dipper, where the shower appears to originate. Once you’re oriented, don’t stare in one spot — scan the entire sky, since the longest and brightest meteor streaks often appear far from the radiant.
Dress in layers, bring a blanket, and keep something warm nearby — comfort makes all the difference when waiting for meteors in the cold
Enjoy yall! ✨
