Congratulations to Quonset Managing Director Steven J. King, P.E., on being named Providence Business News' 2026 Manufacturing Champion!

For more than 20 years, Steve has worked to turn the Quonset Business Park into one of the leading engines for economic growth in Rhode Island.

Under Steve’s leadership, QDC has cut red tape, invested in world-class infrastructure and created an environment where manufacturers can start, grow and succeed.

Today, Quonset is home to more than 260 companies and 15,000+ jobs, including nearly 10,000 manufacturing jobs—about one-quarter of Rhode Island’s manufacturing workforce.

We’re glad to see Steve’s commitment to Quonset, Rhode Island’s manufacturers and our state recognized with this well-deserved honor.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Marine Road in the Quonset Business Park will be temporarily closed for construction from Monday, October 12th- Friday, October 16th.

There will be no access to the Marine Road bike path parking lot during that time. The Quonset Bike Path will remain open and will still be accessible from the Shops at Quonset bike path parking area located at 100 Gate Road, North Kingstown.

From a small flex space to a 250,000-square-foot manufacturing facility — congratulations to REGENT on the grand opening of 1 Seaglider Way!

The QDC team was glad to join Demo Day, which brought hundreds of partners, suppliers and investors from six different continents to the Business Park to watch the Seagliders float, foil and fly.

From the company's beginnings, QDC worked alongside REGENT to provide the space and infrastructure needed to expand here at Quonset. Seeing that work come together is a proud moment for everyone involved and a major success story for Rhode Island's manufacturing sector and ocean economy.

Congratulations to the entire REGENT team. We look forward to what comes next!

More than 15,400 people come to work at Quonset each day, and new highway connection ramps just made the Business Park even easier to reach.

As part of the larger "Missing Move" project, the Rhode Island Department of Transportation has just opened three new ramps that better connect the majority of Quonset Business Park with the West Davisville district and businesses along Post Road.

These new ramps, which were not built when Route 403 was originally constructed over 20 years ago, now link:
— West Davisville Road to Route 403 East toward Route 1 and QBP
— Route 1 (Post Road) to Route 403 West toward Route 4
— Route 403 West, coming from Route 1 toward Route 4, exiting onto West Davisville Road

These new connections will shorten commute times, make it easier than ever before for trucks and cars to get to and from destinations in the Business Park, and help remove traffic from local roads and neighborhoods.
