This is interesting for Las Vegas 👀🏠
Clark County is taking a new approach to unlicensed short-term rentals instead of only going after individual property owners, the County wants booking platforms like Airbnb and Vrbo to verify licensing before processing bookings for short-term rentals.
Here’s the crazy part: recent reporting says there are more than 16,000 Airbnb listings in the Clark County area, while only about 228 short-term-rental licenses have been issued.
But the other side of the conversation is that Clark County’s application window for new STR licenses is currently CLOSED.
So I’m curious…
Do you think this is a good move to protect our neighborhoods and housing?
Or do you think Clark County needs to make it easier for responsible homeowners to become licensed first?
Las Vegas… What do you think? 👇
