The cornea is the transparent part of the eye that covers the front portion. Its main job is to refract, or bend, light. It is responsible for focusing the light that enters the eye.

Since there are no nutrient supplying blood vessels in the cornea, where does its nutrients come from? The answer is your tears and the aqueous humor (a watery fluid) in the anterior chamber.

I don't know about you but having a holiday on a Tuesday really messed with the rest of my week. But it's finally Friday!!!
With technology being so popular these days and everyone doing their reading from screens, I thought this Fun Fact was interesting. I am not surprised by this fact. I have taken a lot of online classes and I print a lot of my material to read and study because I also felt I could retain the information better that way. I just thought I was "old school". Turns out there is a study that backs me.
