The photos show a room we have supported and upgraded for 22 years. We collaborated with AECC, Cromwell Architects, and CDI Contractors to design-build in 1999. Our role was audio and video design and integration. In 1999 it was rear-projected, standard definition video. We used a 42-station conference discussion system to provide speech reinforcement to all members. There were enhanced camera control and screen splitting to facilitate automated video recordings.
In 2014 we updated the remote controls, added videoconference, and changed the projection system to HDTV. We were able to continue the use of the 1999 conference discussion system.
In 2022 we replaced the conference discussion system this year and upgraded the video projector to 8000 lumens. The photos attempt to illustrate the new microphones we installed. It is an excellent speech reinforcement system.
The space supports WebEx, Zoom, and other video platforms. Camera presets and layouts are shown to remote participants based on the person speaking.
From the original design to the HDTV update, production integration, microphone and camera control algorithms to the 3d printing and the audio update, this facility demanded a lot of attention to detail.

We worked with Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects and Tommy Farrell Furniture to design and integrate the audio-visual systems into this decision space. The room supports hybrid presentations with any web conferencing platform and provides effortless audio with high-quality, legible video. Our automation simplifies the AV workflow and helps reduce presentations' stress.

We love this type of quality and detail work.

Our experience with video conference goes all the way back to 1990. Back then a video conference codec (just the box that converts video to data) was $80K. Our participation was in the initial launch of the telemedicine network in collaboration with Southwestern Bell.

The cost of video conference is no longer cost prohibitive. It is an essential tool in today's business.

We have built many distance learning classrooms, boardrooms, conference rooms and huddle spaces. We have experience with Zoom, Cisco, Polycom, Skype for Business, Teams and Starleaf.

The photos below are from a recent renovation of the UA Agricultural Extension Service. They have an auditorium that we originally equipped in 2002 with incremental upgrades in 2009 and 2017. Now in 2020 it supports Zoom,

A new classroom that has movable partition walls that can be configured in a A_B_C, AB_C, A_BC and ABC scenarios to accommodate varying meeting sizes and seating styles.

When they are configured separately three Zoom meetings can be conducted. When ABC a single large local meeting with a connection to Zoom is supported.

This is a special meeting room we integrated a couple of years ago. It was difficult because the ceiling was almost inaccessible. There was not a conventional place to put displays and we needed good camera eye contact with video conference participants at remote sites.

Each side of the table has a monitor and two cameras.

Cameras auto-switch based on the person speaking in the room.

Quite a bit of delicate work here.

October 2018 we contracted with the Arkansas Senate to equip committee rooms and the Senate Chamber for streaming. Everything had to be operational before the session began in January. It is a very large challenge to install new technology in a 104 year old building.

All of the cameras are managed from the VIP gallery.

Pictured below are Sony Anycast video streaming stations. They provide video switching, special effects, camera control and titling (graphics, lower third names).

The senate production team worked very hard to make the first year of broadcasts a success. We handed the completed systems over about two weeks before the first broadcast and their team streamed every Committee meeting and session. They did an amazing job.

The transparency in Government initiative is a major asset for our state. I hope even more Arkansans will watch this year.
