A reminder that we are CLOSED today and will be running our schedule one day behind. Here is this weeks collection schedule:

➡ Monday’s waste is collected on Tuesday (May 26)
➡ Tuesday’s waste on Wednesday (May 27)
➡ Wednesday’s waste on Thursday (May 28)
➡ Thursday’s waste on Friday (May 29)
➡ Friday’s waste on Saturday (May 30)

The following week after a Holiday, your collection days go back to your normal days.

Happy Earth day everyone. Here are a few tips in how you can make everyday Earth Day:

◾️ Skip single use plastics
◾️ Drop off your cardboard (and other unwanted items) at our recycling center
◾️ Bring plastic bags to bag drop off boxes
◾️ Donate old clothing/buy secondhand
◾️ Fix broken items vs replacing them
◾️ Use reusable items such as glass/stainless steel water bottles, fabric grocery totes or silicone baggies.
◾️ Switch to LED lightbulbs
◾ And of course, RECYCLE! RECYCLE! RECYCLE!

Together we can make our Earth a greener space!

Don't forget to set your clocks forward by an hour for Daylight Saving Time this weekend, March 8, 2026. We will certainly miss that extra hour of sleep but we welcome early sunshine! ☀️

City of Amboy and City of Vernon Center routes are delayed today due to weather conditions causing vehicle issues. Trucks are back on route, but will be running behind their normal schedule.
