When U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) detains or seizes a shipment, importers are often forced to make fast, high-stakes decisions with limited information. Understanding the difference between a detention and a seizure and knowing how to respond can mean the difference between recovering your goods or facing permanent loss and additional penalties.

This webinar provides a practical roadmap for navigating CBP enforcement actions and choosing the most appropriate response strategy. Register here. https://bit.ly/3DsBQv3

The eFiling rule will impose new requirements for how importers manage product certificate data, not which products require a certificate. Any consumer product that is subject to a CPSC rule, ban, standard, or regulation will continue to require a Certificate of Compliance, which will be eFiled at the time of entry.

Failure to complete e-filing can result in shipment delays and penalties. Don't wait to act until it is too late. Diaz Trade Law can help you identify covered products, file certificates, and set up a long-term compliance strategy.

The Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit stayed the ruling, so the tariffs remain in effect while the litigation plays out. If the CIT's order does prevail, the Court has made clear that relief is limited to named plaintiffs.

That means importers seeking refunds should take affirmative legal action rather than wait for automatic relief or file protests with CBP.

Companies that take proactive steps now will be best positioned if the courts ultimately invalidate these tariffs for good. Questions? Diaz Trade Law can help. Read more here. https://bit.ly/4fhlmGs
