Maggie's Farm

Looks like everyone just came out to say hi all of a sudden😂 Happy 4th of July everybody!! Today marks the reopening day for Maggie's Farm this year as the peonies were a little slower to bloom but well worth the wait.. can't smell any smoke while I'm in the field now! Most of the information from last year will apply similar/same this year, but I will bulletpoint some things to remember and note for everyone's ease:

- Price is 4$ per stem; 20$ a half dozen.
- Cash, Check, Zelle, or Apple Cash are the only payment methods I accept currently.
- BYOB (bring your own bucket) is preferred as well as your own sheers/cutters/scissors when possible (which leads us to..)
- It can sometimes get quite busy so using my shared sheers can become a taking turns thing, but I offer all I have with buckets and baskets for pictures or any mass collecting if/as needed.
- 9am-3pm are my normal business hours for the U-pick as long as the peonies are in bloom. If the hours of 9am-3pm won't/don't work for you, that's okay - please feel free to text/call at 818-635-6119 and we will try to schedule a timing that works best for us both to have you come for your own U-pick experience 😁
- Picnics and big-group events are very welcome, but a heads up about generally how many people and cars are coming helps me plan accordingly so much appreciated if you remember to do that!
- Only restroom I offer is an outhouse; closest public/business restroom is likely at Badger Gas about 3-4 miles away.

Wow it's been a year!! And finally the field has taken some color as the peonies have begun to bloom🌸🪷 Plenty are still on their way (budding or marshmallows), so with that said some news for you all about what to expect or maybe any changes this year:

- I'll be opening the U-pick as early as this weekend (tomorrow), Saturday June 29th and on!😁 (or at least until the bloom season is over)
- Hours for the U-pick are the same at 10am-3pm any/every day of the week, but if you'd like or need to come by at any other time of day please just shoot me a call/text and we'll try to schedule a reasonable time to meet. (818-635-6119)

😁 ohhh what blessings this field has brought me so far; it's so new yet now so familiar to me, and becoming hard to watch the season and peonies go..

July 22nd-23rd: here we are in the FINAL WEEKEND of the U-pick! the peonies have received a heavy load of rain mid-week, and now are about to take a ton of sun and high-heat🥵 it's now or never for the final few marshmallows and full blooms of this season here!🌺🌸

if and when any straggler buds come in *after* this weekend, i'll be saving them in the fridge to hold as many as i can for anybody who may need a handful at a time; call/text/msg to inquire as i will not always be guaranteed to have some (will do my best to accommodate!)

i'll finish by saying THANK YOU, all of YOU, for this amazing experience i've been able to share! and it's only just beginning.. 👀🥹🥳

Hi everyone, my name's Isaiah (Z) Kuehne and I am the new owner of Maggie's Farm!😁 this is my first year with flowers/peonies; Maggie's very graciously passing on the torch, so I plan to keep up with all of you here through daily posts/pictures, updates, answers to questions, perhaps even some events and open-hours changes as we go. for now, here's a little update about the business and what to expect currently:

- open U-pick every day from 10am-3pm (until further notice); if outside those hours works better for you, shoot me a call/text so we can schedule a time to meet!
- cash, check, Apple-Pay, and Zelle only accepted currently..
- BYOB (bring your own bucket) and sheers/clippers/scissors is very helpful and quickest when busy
- 2$ per stem, and 20$ per dozen
- specific lane(s) with mainly full-blooms will be half-priced (these will vary depending on the amount available)

Isaiah will be opening the field tomorrow July 5th from 10-3. I don't know all the details, so if you have questions or need directions call him directly at 818-635-6119. I wish I could be there. I miss Alaska, my peonies and all of your smiling faces!

I just talked to the new owner of Maggie's Farm, a nice young man by the name of Isaiah. He said that the peonies are not quite ready to pick and you are welcome to call him for a progress report at 818-635-6119.
I know some of the other peony farms in North Pole area are just starting to pick their early varieties. If I had to guess, I bet there will be some this weekend. :D
