If your business filed for a 6-month tax extension earlier this year, important filing deadlines are right around the corner! Here are the extended tax return due dates for calendar-year entities:
🗓️ September 15 – S Corporations (Form 1120-S) & Partnerships (Form 1065)
🗓️ October 15 – C Corporations (Form 1120) & Sole Proprietorships (Schedule C)
⚠️ Quick Reminders:
1. Filing vs. Paying: An extension gives you extra time to file your paperwork, but any tax liabilities were due back on your original spring deadline.
2. K-1 Statements: S Corp owners must distribute Schedule K-1s to all shareholders by the September 15 deadline.
3. Avoid Penalties: Filing on time (or e-filing slightly ahead of the deadline) ensures you avoid late-filing penalties and interest.
