This August, we celebrate 20 years of growth, experience, and drilling excellence across North America!

Established in 2006 and headquartered in North Bay, Ontario, our operations have grown into one of North America's leading drilling service providers. Early expansion was driven by the strategic acquisitions of Connors Drilling in 2007 and Northwest Sequoia Drilling in 2008, significantly strengthening our capabilities in diamond, rotary, reverse circulation, large-diameter, and specialized drilling services while expanding our presence across Canada.

Over the past two decades, we have continued to invest in our people, equipment, and technology, building a reputation for technical expertise, operational excellence, and a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental stewardship. By combining innovative drilling technologies with experienced personnel, we deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality drilling solutions to the mining, energy, water, geotechnical, and infrastructure sectors throughout Canada and the United States.

In 2024, Foraco further strengthened its North American presence with the establishment of Foraco USA, headquartered in North Salt Lake, Utah. This expanded the company's ability to support mining and water drilling customers throughout the United States while leveraging the expertise and resources of its Canadian operations.

Today, we employ approximately 600 people and operate across major mining and exploration regions throughout Canada and the United States. Supported by a modern fleet, experienced leadership, and a culture of continuous improvement, we continue to strengthen long-term partnerships with our clients, support local and Indigenous communities, and play a significant role in the continued growth and success of the global Foraco Group.

Built for deep diamond drilling, the VD8000 combines impressive depth capacity, powerful pullback, and hydraulic rod handling in a shack-mounted system designed for demanding drilling programs.

The VD8000 offers depth capacities reaching:

B: 9,094 ft (2,772 m)
N: 9,035 ft (2,754 m)
H: 5,754 ft (1,755 m)
P: 3,543 ft (1,080 m)

Its hydraulic rod handler helps support efficient rod handling at the drill, while a maximum pull capacity of 87,414 lbs (39,662 kg) and drilling angles ranging from 45° to 90° provide the power and versatility needed across a variety of drilling conditions.

Pair that capability with the strong experience of our skilled drilling crews, and the VD8000 becomes a dependable solution for deep, challenging diamond drilling programs where performance and efficiency matter.
