📣 BOARD OF DIRECTORS OPPORTUNITY

The Shuswap Economic Development Society (SEDS) is pleased to help share this opportunity from Skwlāx Group Ltd. (SGL).

SGL is seeking one individual to serve as a Director on its Board, which is responsible for governing the Nation’s for-profit businesses and supporting their success, sustainability, and growth.

Ideal candidates may have experience in:
• Business development & management
• Corporate governance
• Finance & accounting
• Human resources
• Community & land-use planning
• Indigenous title & rights
• Technology & innovation
• Construction, forestry, aggregates, tourism, retail, or related industries

Previous Board experience and experience working with First Nations governments and communities are also assets.

Term: 2–4 years
Commitment: Approximately 10–12 meetings per year
Remote/virtual attendance is available, with in-person attendance required at least once annually.
Directors receive an honorarium for meeting attendance, with travel expenses reimbursed upon pre-approval.

Preparing to evacuate livestock or animals? Resources are available across the Shuswap. Please reach out as soon as possible if you need assistance.

Deb can provide locations for livestock relocation and register properties able to host animals. Some evacuation-related costs may be covered for eligible farmers.
