Sometimes people ask how we can find things we’re looking for when we dig. Today while doing some exploratory digging to find a water line depth, I found a good example of something we look for.
Can you spot it?

I highlighted the answer in a picture in the comments
Nature does not normally lay material in perfectly straight lines. When we spot something like this, it tells us that someone has dug there before. And the straight line is the edge of the old ditch. Gives us a good clue something is hidden below!
