Tick Tip Tuesday: Gear up with preventatives!
Message from your friendly neighborhood ticks - They love long walks in the woods, warm weather, and latching onto unsuspecting humans and pets.
Unfortunately for them, you can swipe left! Avoid being a tick match by using quality tick repellant and preventative actions. That includes:
• Using an EPA-registered insect repellent on your clothing.
• Treating your clothing with permethrin, when possible.
• Staying on marked trails.
• Avoid walking in taller grass and brushy areas.
• Wear light-colored clothing. This makes it easier to spot ticks.
Following these steps can help you prevent these tiny freeloaders from finding you for their next meal.
Spray smart, check for ticks often, and enjoy the outdoors without ticks tagging along.
