Latergram of my first deer shot several weeks ago with my 220 slug shotgun with the expert guidance of

Thankfully it was an ethical shot and the deer didn't make it more than 15 yards before expiring. Shot placement could have been better as I lost some front shoulder meat, but overall I'm happy with what I made happen.

Great big thanks to for the masterful butcher job and patience in explaining everything to me on how my shot placement affected the yield of meat.

Crazy intense experience after unsuccessfully hunting for several years for deer. Makes me realized I've still got so much to learn and that's a great feeling.

I've had more success small game hunting for squirrels and rabbits with my airgun though and look forward to getting more meat for the pot for many more years!

Hey folks, as it’s getting colder and my wee little fingers get numb easily I am calling an end to my farmers market season this year. Loved seeing you all! I am still sharpening year round and will do select indoor markets through the winter so stay tuned! I’m around and happy to sharpen whenever you need just send me a message!

Been wondering what i can do to help those affected by the shutdowns and settled on this: any Pioneer Valley MA based food pantries or kitchens thar serve food to those in need are eligible to get some of their knives sharpened for free. Same goes for federal workers who are dealing with the shutdowns. Send me a message with any questions.
