🔧 Sometimes the problem isn’t what it seems!

We recently went out to an RV after the customer reported their CO alarm repeatedly going off and wanted the propane system checked for a possible leak.

We performed a complete LP gas pressure and leak test and found the propane system operating properly with no leaks detected. We replaced the CO alarm, but several hours later, the new alarm went off again.

That told us something else was going on.

After further troubleshooting, we traced the problem to a failing house battery that was overheating and off-gassing, causing the alarm to activate.

Using a thermal camera, we found the battery temperature climbing to nearly 120°F after being powered for only about ONE MINUTE. 🌡️🔥 The battery also tested bad and was immediately identified as a safety concern.

✅ Propane system tested good
✅ No gas leaks detected
✅ Faulty battery identified
✅ Overheating/off-gassing confirmed
