This once-cramped kitchen has been completely reimagined into a bright, functional space that reflects both the charm of the home’s 1909 roots and the needs of modern living.

Walls came down, windows went up, and the entire layout was reworked to create a more open, inviting space where this busy family of three (plus two curious cats) can cook, gather, and connect. 🍊 Aperol Spritz Trifle! 🍰 This fun and unique dessert is the perfect way to hang on to the last days of summer! Whether you're back from a trip to Italy or just dreaming of one, this easy treat will bring a taste of sunshine to your next gathering. ☀️🍾

Ingredients:
- 1 box vanilla cake mix
- 1 box instant vanilla pudding
- ½ cup Prosecco
- Orange zest
- 5 tbsp Aperol
- 1½ cups heavy cream
- 1 tbsp confectioners' sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup apricot preserves
- 6 oranges

Directions:
1. Prepare the cake mix, swapping ½ cup water for Prosecco, and adding orange zest. Bake as cupcakes, then slice in half.
2. Make pudding, mix with Aperol, and chill.
3. Whip cream with sugar and vanilla; chill.
4. Mix apricot preserves with Aperol.
5. Layer pudding, orange slices, cupcake halves, cream, and jam in glasses. Garnish with orange slices and enjoy! 😋🍊

My husband and I visited Château Pesquié in Bédoin, France, in 2018. We tasted their exquisite wines and were inspired by their lavender liqueur from Avignon to create a Lavender Lemon-Drop cocktail. Here’s the recipe for a refreshing summer drink:

1 oz. Lavender Liqueur
2 oz. Vodka
1 oz. Fresh lemon juice
Lemon sparkling water

Shake with ice, strain into a chilled glass, top with sparkling water, and garnish with lemon zest and a lavender sprig. Cheers! 🍋🍹✨
