Recently, we heard from Geoff Lamarche + two of the Clark sisters from .co.eatery. ☕🍞 They hold our Restaurant seat in our business networking group!

Clark & Co. is one of the newest coffee shops in Norwich, Connecticut, and have made an impact on the community already!

They are wonderful people who shared their story about how they built their cafe over the last two years. Now, as they're coming up for their one-year anniversary, they are super excited to have shared their story with us.

Clark & Co. has weekly specials on food, seasonal specials on drinks, and even has small bouquets and various other gifts in their shop for you to purchase!

Come by their shop and follow them on social media to keep up to date with their specials as they are posted when they are announced.

Recently, our Rose City Network members and visitors had the privilege of hearing from Jill St. Clair, Director of Economic Development for the Town of Killingly. We always love hearing from her! 🍃

Jill has spent her career making sure Eastern Connecticut doesn't just survive, it grows. As Killingly's Economic Development Director, she works every day to bring new business, new investment, and new opportunity into our region — while helping the small businesses already here thrive. She also chairs Visit Eastern CT, championing tourism and telling the story of why our corner of the state deserves to be on the map.

But numbers and titles only tell half of it. Anyone who's spent five minutes with Jill knows her real superpower: she leads with warmth. She's a fierce advocate for women in business, a connector who genuinely wants to see everyone win, and someone who makes you feel like your goals matter to her too — because they do.

Jill's also no stranger to RCN. She currently serves on our Membership Committee, helping shape the community she believes in from the inside.

Presentations like Jill's are exactly why our members show up at 6:45am every Thursday — because when you're in the room, you leave with resources, connections, and a reminder that Eastern Connecticut's growth starts with people like her.

A few weeks ago, we got to hear from Gina Knauer from The Law Office of Albanese & Knauer🌹

Gina and her team at the Law Office have come second to none as our Real Estate Attorney seat. They handle Connecticut real estate closings start to finish — residential, title work, the whole process — and they've built a reputation for making a stressful day feel manageable.

Before real estate law, Gina's community-building instincts were already in motion. As a military spouse, she served as an ombudsman and FRG President, holding families together and supporting one of the biggest jobs in the Navy: spouses holding down the fort at home.

She also talked about how her working relationship with Chris Albanese started the way a lot of good business relationships do: as a client first! This connection helped her grow into her career path and when her family lost everything in a house fire, he became a lending hand in the process.

It's a good reminder of what happens when the people you connect with become essential for every avenue of your life.

Gina's also been our Leadership Board Secretary for years — steady behind the scenes, keeping RCN running the way it does.

People like Gina, the Connections gained, Collaborations made, and Community empowered together on Thursday mornings keep proving the point of our group.

Cara believes that eating healthy doesn’t have to be complicated and there’s many ways to use the right tools for diet modification that even her busiest clients can manage.

She’s your guide towards wellness + wants to help get you out of pain and back to your best self.

She’s been a wonderful asset to our Health + Wellness sphere and loved hearing her story a few weeks ago!

REMINDER! We have a new venue change starting this week!

ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

After many years at our previous location, we have decided a change of scenery was in order! Rose City Network will now be meeting at the Spa at Norwich Inn, effective July 2, 2026.

The Spa at Norwich Inn, Hunt Room

Thursday mornings at 6:45am-8:30am

We believe this location checks all the boxes and provides a professional, comfortable environment that will support our continued growth.

Our meetings will be held in the Hunt Room. Upon entering the property, simply proceed straight ahead. Members of our Welcoming Team and the Inn's doorman will direct you to the correct room if needed.

We know that any change takes some adjustment, but we are excited about what this move means for the future of our organization. The Norwich Inn & Spa provides the space and atmosphere we need while maintaining a central and convenient location for our members.

Thank you all for your flexibility and support. We look forward to seeing everyone at our new home next Thursday, July 2nd, 2026!
