Food for thought... Many homes are in Forbearance for payments. How many of these homes have ESCROW? And, of those ESCROW payments, how many do you think will default on Property Taxes & Insurance? LOOK OUT WORLD!!!

When I ask folks - How do you file your taxes, I can almost never get a straight answer. WHY? Because people just don't know especially as a small business owner. I usually get an answer like this "Well, I'm and LLC, does that tell you what you want to know?" Here it is folks - there is a LEGAL side of your business (that protects you from lawsuits) and a TAX side of your business (that determines how you file and pay your taxes).

NOTE - This is NOT a Political Statement... However, a lot in the news today about President Trump and his taxes. Something to remember - he DOES PAY A LOT IN TAXES. For EVERY employee he has he will pay 7.65% in Social Security and Medicare tax + he pays Federal & State Unemployment Tax for EVERY employee. This as with ALL companies is a fraction of Taxes paid by business owners. There are other taxes that look like insurance, permits, fees, etc.

Start understanding TAX for YOUR Business and Yourselves.

In 1997, I was being laid off from my job. My boss wanted me to move to Denver, I did not. Rather than just laying me off, like most bosses would do, he asked me "What do you want to do then?". I told him that I love what I was doing for him (managing all 9 of his small businesses). To that he said, "Well then, let's get you started with your own consulting business, I'll introduce you to some of my friends so they can be your first clients." It's Business Tax Season!

I have spent the last 30 days working with business owners and CPA's to get Tax Returns RIGHT!

If the Bookkeeper doesn't talk to the Business Owner (aka monthly meetings)
and the CPA only talks to the Bookkeeper...

How can anyone be sure the return is accurate. What's worse... often times the Business Owner has NO IDEA what they are looking at, so how could they know if it's right?

In MOST cases - this causes the Business Owner to pay higher taxes!
