By the time I reached the age of 24, I had amassed an impressive ten years of experience, honing my craft in creating captivating visuals and programming seamless websites. In 2009, my first company TriLeaf Designs was born. What sets me apart from most designers is my hands-on involvement in both print shops, mailing houses, product design studios, and packaging warehouses. This unique experience has bestowed upon me invaluable insights into optimizing designs specifically for print, mailing, and production purposes. With such a diverse skill set, I have yet to encounter anyone who matches my versatility and knowledge base. Throughout my entrepreneurial journey, TriLeaf Designs thrived, evolving into a flourishing agency that collaborated with multiple companies along the way. In 2015, I transformed our physical working environment into a virtual collective fostering talented individuals who share a common purpose. Remarkably, many of my original employees remain cherished friends and colleagues to this day. In 2016, I encountered a unique situation when three companies approached me simultaneously, seeking my help in finding someone like me to assist them. I had to convey an honest truth: finding someone with a breadth of experience like mine was virtually impossible. Furthermore, I understood that small companies couldn't afford the level of expertise I possessed. However, after much contemplation, I decided to offer my services as a consultant. Initially focusing on marketing and as time went on, I delved into business operations and discovered my true passion for transforming businesses. That is when Rachel Boone Consulting was born. As the companies I worked with flourished, so did my own growth. Motivated by this revelation, I pursued higher education and obtained my Executive MBA from Wash U (Washington University). I stand as the perfect amalgamation of book smarts and street smarts. During my time at Wash U, I was exposed to the world of high-level positions like COO (Chief Operations Officer) or CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) in large corporations. I knew from the start that such roles wouldn't fulfill my purpose. My heart beats for small and mid-size businesses, where I can make a genuine difference. Working closely with business owners, I began noticing a recurring trend. Each of them had faced skepticism and discouragement in their lives from someone who doubted their ability to succeed, often suggesting they should "get a real job." Little did these doubters understand that owning a business is not only a "real job" but a journey that requires immense dedication and courage. It surpasses the constraints of a nine-to-five work week. To thrive and expand in entrepreneurship, one must be willing to take risks, push boundaries, and maintain a growth mindset beyond conventional working hours.
