🐞 Powderpost Beetles: Small Pest, Serious Wood Damage

Have you noticed tiny holes in your floor joists, beams, or other exposed wood? What looks like harmless little holes could be evidence of powderpost beetles.

Powderpost beetles are wood-destroying insects that develop inside the wood, often leaving behind small exit holes and a fine, powder-like material called frass. Because much of their activity happens inside the wood, an infestation can go unnoticed for quite some time.

🇺🇸 RED FRIDAY — Remember Everyone Deployed 🇺🇸

As we head into Friday, I wanted to take a minute to say thank you.

Many of you know that the military is a huge part of our family and a big part of the story behind Salty Dog Pest Control. My wife, Krystal, has proudly served in the United States Navy for 12 years, and she plans to continue serving until she reaches 20 years. I couldn’t be more proud of her dedication, everything she has accomplished, and the sacrifices she continues to make for our country and our family.

Military life isn’t always easy. Deployments mean missed birthdays, holidays, family moments, and months away from the people you love. This RED Friday hits especially close to home for us while Krystal is deployed, and it’s a reminder of all the service members around the world who are away from their families right now.

I also want to personally thank our customers and this incredible community for the support you’ve shown Salty Dog Pest Control and my family.
