Risk of being locked out of “Get My Payment” discovered
The IRS this week unveiled the “Get My Payment” feature to allow taxpayers to check the status of their Economic Impact Payment and update direct deposit information. “Get My Payment” is updated daily, usually overnight.

In addition to this announcement, we learned a critical piece of information for you and your clients to know. At this time, if you try to access “Get My Payment” more than once per day, you will be locked out and possibly not be able to get back in.

Please make note and share this information with your clients to avoid the possibility of not being able to access this feature.
