Keeping baby bottles and pump parts clean is essential for your baby’s health. Here’s a quick guide on how to wash them efficiently:

1. Gather Your Supplies
Start with hot, soapy water, a bottle brush, and a drying rack. Use a designated sponge for baby items to avoid cross-contamination.

2. Rinse Immediately
After each use, take everything completely apart and rinse bottles and pump parts with warm water to remove milk residue. This prevents buildup and makes cleaning easier.

3. Wash Thoroughly
Use a bottle brush to clean inside bottles and a smaller brush for pump parts. Pay special attention to valves and membranes. Soak everything in soapy water for a few minutes before scrubbing.

4. Rinse Well
Rinse each item thoroughly under running water to remove all soap residue, which can affect the taste of milk.

5. Sanitize (Optional)
Sanitizing bottles and pump parts by boiling them or using a steam sterilizer is an additional step and is optional. Discuss with your pediatrician to find out if this is the best option for your baby.

6. Dry Properly
Place clean bottles and parts on a drying rack to air dry completely, avoiding bacteria growth.

Creating a cozy nursing station in your home can make breastfeeding easier and more enjoyable. Here are essential items to include:

Breastfeeding Pillow: Invest in a Boppy or My Breast Friend for support, along with extra pillows for comfort.
Hydration: Keep a water bottle handy, plus an extra for those moments when you forget it across the room.
Healthy Snacks: Stock up on granola bars or protein bars to keep your energy up during nursing sessions.
Lip Care & Comfort: Don’t forget chapstick and ni**le cream for added comfort.
Baby Care: Have baby nail clippers nearby—it’s easiest to clip nails when your baby is peacefully sleeping on you.
Tech Essentials: Ensure your phone is charged with a charger and have earbuds ready for some relaxation.
Reading Material: Keep a book within reach for a little entertainment while you nurse.
Comfort Items: Include cozy socks and an extra blanket for warmth.
