Downtown Royal Oak when I arrived at my office in the morning vs. when I left at night. Something about the difference a few hours can make in your view.

I think this holds true in business as well. I've watched a few new clients in the past week's faces change this much as they realized I would be there to help them in their busiest times. It's why I started this business and why I'm so excited to keep growing it.

Sometimes, you just need some joy in the office. Those are the times when we break out Mini Yahtzee.

When you are feeling the pressure, remember these three things:
1) Regular breaks increase overall productivity.

One screen is never enough.

In fact, with this project, one operating system isn't enough. Ande is working on a software customization project that relies on her knowledge of both Mac and PC. What would be an annoyance for our clients, is actually enjoyable for us at Garret Admin.

As small business owners, we often feel like we should have all the answers. The best advice I ever heard was, “it’s not about knowing everything; it’s about knowing where to find the information.” In many instances, finding the information means asking someone that knows more about the subject. Sure, I could figure it out on my own, but it expends less time and causes less frustration to ask someone who already knows.

People often ask us what we offer. Our answer is usually a long list of our services, with the disclaimer that if you need something we haven't mentioned, we can probably do that too. That is true, but it is not the core of what we offer.

What we really offer is balance. We take on some of your business management tasks so you can focus on growth. We take on some of your marketing so you can spend your time on social media actually being social. We take on some of your work, so you can live.
