I was in Chicago this last week mapping and assessing about 7000 trees for a suburban park district. At my age and position, people wonder why I still do field work. The simple answer is that I enjoy it, and it gives me a foundation in litigation cases that many 'experts' providing opinions on system-level tree risk management too often lack.
