Know the Site. Track the Work. Protect the Project.

Before the first bucket of dirt moves, know exactly what you’re starting with.

Level Up Aerial Images & Mapping provides high-resolution drone mapping and site documentation for contractors, developers, and earthwork crews across DFW and North Texas.

From pre-construction conditions through final grade, we can help you:

• Topographic Mapping — detailed elevation and terrain data
• Cut/Fill Analysis — understand where material needs to move and track earthwork quantities
• Construction Progress — repeatable aerial documentation showing how the site changes over time
• Pre- & Post-Construction Documentation — create a timestamped visual record of surrounding roads, structures, fences, drainage, and existing site conditions

Shahan Prarie construction progress flight 5 complete. Here is a closer look. I have looked further, and the elevation data are concerning. Looks like more of the same.

🌕 The Sturgeon Moon over North Texas

There’s something about a full moon rising over the lake that never gets old. Tonight’s Sturgeon Moon is even more special — a deep lunar eclipse is coming later tonight, and I’m hoping to capture that too.

Keep an eye on the sky. 🌕📸

🏗️ Shahan Prairie — Watching a Community Take Shape

I’ve been documenting the progress at Shahan Prairie from the air, and these construction flights will ultimately be combined into one hyperlapse showing the development coming together from the ground up — roads, lots, infrastructure and homes taking shape over time.

What’s especially interesting now is what I can see through the enterprise mapping side of these flights. The road network is becoming clearly defined, the individual roads are now identifiable( I can even see the names now!), and the overall layout of the development is starting to come together.

As those roads take shape, I’m also paying close attention to grading, elevations, drainage and how the finished road surfaces are being established and verified. From an aerial perspective, there are areas that raise questions for me about how that process is being handled.

That’s one of the reasons I’ve become so interested in construction mapping. A drone isn’t limited to taking progress pictures. With the right equipment, the same site can be documented and mapped repeatedly so that changes in terrain, drainage, road grades and overall site conditions can actually be measured and compared throughout construction.

For now, this is another snapshot in time.

When all of these flights are put together, we’ll be able to watch Shahan Prairie being built from the air — from dirt to finished neighborhood.

Street conditions shouldn’t be a guessing game.

This 3D walkthrough was created from a quick drone capture and gives a clear, detailed view of the road, surrounding grades, drainage areas, shoulders, and visible problem spots.

For a fast assessment, I can build a 3D model like this in about 30 minutes.

When higher-accuracy data is needed, I can also deploy an enterprise RTK drone to collect detailed topographical mapping with millimeter-degree accuracy, including elevation data, contours, surface models, and measurable site conditions.

Fast visual documentation. High-accuracy mapping. Real data you can actually use.

The old EDS campus in Plano is gone — but this is a view you don’t normally get.

I captured the implosion site and turned it into a detailed 3D model, letting you move through the property and see the demolition from an entirely different perspective.

This is what modern drone mapping can do: turning a real-world site into a digital environment you can inspect, document, measure, and revisit long after the equipment leaves.

Pretty incredible seeing a piece of Plano history like this.
