We’ve recently posted articles about self-compassion as well as empathy or compassion for your team. This quote by Daniel Goleman highlights another benefit of focusing on others. The takeaway for us is we must both give to ourselves as well as to others. To be an effective leader, there can’t be a singular focus. When do you choose to give to yourself and when do you choose to give to others? Can you do both at the same time?
