Oakdale Fire Department WI The Oakdale Fire Department is located in Monroe County, Wisconsin. On average, the department responds to 125 calls per year.

The Oakdale Fire Department (OFD) proudly serves the Villages of Oakdale and Wyeville, and the Townships of Adrian, Byron, Clifton, Greenfield, LaGrange, Oakdale and Tomah. The OFD has approximately 50 members out of two fire stations, Oakdale Station and LaGrange Station. Between the two stations, the department has 2 Engines, 3 Water Tenders, 3 Brush Trucks, 1 Brush ATV, 1 Equipment Van, and 1 Portable Pump.

Our department members have been busy sharing safety tips and fun with our community. On Thursday morning, Oakdale School came out to visit us right here at the fire station. Afterward, we stopped by to see the kids at Ahuco Head Start. Today, we wrapped up our visits at Wyevile School!

Our firefighters loved showing the students our gear and equipment, and teaching them important fire safety tips to keep them safe at home.

With the start of hunting season, our department recently conducted specialized tree stand rescue training.

To ensure we are fully prepared for any emergency in the woods, our crews set up and practiced multiple realistic scenarios, including:
• Responding to an unresponsive hunter high up in a tree stand.
• Safely rescuing a hunter hanging from their safety harness after a fall.
We practice these rescue techniques so that if the worst happens, our response is fast, precise, and effective.

Safety Reminder: As you head out into the woods this season, please always wear a full-body harness, inspect your stand before climbing, and let someone know exactly where you are hunting.
