🎣🔥 THE BASS ARE HERE. NEXT WEEKEND, IT’S GAME ON!

The fall run is delivering—and the latest fishing reports are building excitement for the 4th Annual South Shore Striper Cup, October 23–25 at Oakdale Yacht!

Here’s the latest from inside our tournament area:

📍 FIRE ISLAND INLET
J&J Sports reports slot-size and oversized stripers holding in the inlet, with live eels producing. Reports collected by The Fisherman also have bass feeding around bunker pods outside.

📍 MORICHES
Live spot, snappers and bunker have been producing quality bass. The Fisherman’s October 12 report included a 35.5-pound striper caught and released in Moriches Inlet!

📍 OAKDALE & CAPTREE REPORTS
Chasing Tails reports a fresh wave of bass, with boat anglers connecting on bucktails, paddle tails, swimming plugs and live eels. Captree reports point to diamond jigs producing around Demo and Cedar, particularly early in the morning.

Bait is moving. Bass are feeding. It’s time to get your crew together! 🏆

The fall striper run is building—and there’s plenty to get your crew excited about! 🔥

Across our tournament waters, from Jones Beach Tower to Moriches Inlet, the latest reports point to feeding bass, plenty of bait and opportunities worth scouting.

📍 FIRE ISLAND
Slot-size and larger bass are working the inlet, with improving early-morning diamond-jig action near Demo and Cedar.

📍 MORICHES
Live bait has been producing larger bass. Schools are moving between the inlet and nearby oceanfront, so be ready to adjust.

🎣 WHAT’S WORKING
Live eels, spot, bunker and snappers; diamond jigs, bucktails and paddle-tail swimbaits. When fish are feeding on small bait, match the profile.

Watch the birds, find the bait and put some scouting time in with your crew!

🚨 IMPORTANT TOURNAMENT UPDATE 🚨

Due to the unfavorable marine weather forecast for this coming weekend, the 2026 South Shore Striper Cup has been rescheduled.

🎣 NEW DATES: OCTOBER 23–25, 2026

The safety of our anglers and crews is our highest priority. Moving the tournament one week gives everyone a better opportunity to fish safely and enjoy the competitive weekend this event is meant to be.

UPDATED SCHEDULE:

Friday, October 23
• Captain’s Meeting: 5:00–7:30 PM
• Tournament Lines In: 7:30 PM

Saturday, October 24
• Scales Open: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM

Sunday, October 25
• Scales Open: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
• Final Weigh-In Deadline: 1:00 PM
• Awards Dinner and Raffle: 3:00 PM at The Spot at Oakdale Yacht

All other tournament details, divisions and rules remain the same. Registration is still open through Reel Time Apps.
