Dakota Valley Electric Cooperative is holding its 2026 Annual Meeting on Thursday, June 11, at the Edgeley School multipurpose room, Edgeley.

Three candidates are vying for the director position in the Central Region, formerly held by Connie Bitz, who died Jan. 2.

They are: Chad Ulmer, Fullerton; Peter Awender, Oakes; and Marianne Arndt, Fullerton.

Incumbent directors Neil Olerund, McLeod, and Patricia “Trish” Gehlhar, Ypsilanti, are running unopposed.

All eligible DVEC members may vote by mail or in person at the annual meeting.

Location: Awender Auction Yard, four miles north of Oakes, ND.
Pete's note: Will be selling to the highest bidder good tack and tools. We will be posting pictures and adding them to the list as we get the tack shed and garage emptied out.
Tack: Harness oil vat with basket; Decker pack saddle; Cross buck pack saddle; Youth saddle; roping saddle; saddle racks; bridles; halters, cinches, reins; Hames; saddle blankets; roping head; ropes; Horse collars like new; hobbles and many more good useable items.
Tools: small drill press; hand gopher poisoner; draw knives; lanterns; canvas water bag; Black smith tools; Ice thongs; small wood barrel; small cream separator; bundle forks and others; hammers; wrenches. Snow rake and more.

Terms: Cash or good check. Statements day of auction will precedence over all printed.
