We’re starting to see a lot more extreme crazing cases as these boats near the 25+ year mark! This one is one of the worst I’ve seen. A lot of people don’t realize how much work it takes to properly remedy. The smaller crazing can sometimes be primed and painted over saving A LOT of money, but when it’s this bad it all needs to be stripped away, and the entire boat re-faired before proceeding to primer and paint.

20 SeaCraft DIY-er project finished out with this unique flats/bay style interior. She was designed as a big water flats skiff for the Mobile Bay Area. The rear cap is sealed closing off the back and doubling as a casting deck, seat. The design also allows for a large bilge area, ample dry storage and livewell. Custom console built to fit the profile of everything, and a smaller casting deck forward, still giving a bay boat feel.

Biggest red flag 🚩 buying a “restored” boat has gotta be this one: new floor with no glass on the underside. Especially with wood core! All of those closed off compartments that hold moisture will just be evaporating straight into the wood. A floor done like this has 10 years max before it starts falling apart

25 SeaVee HiTech rebuild just completed. The hi-tech models were built in the late 80’s extending into early 90’s. They feature composite construction from the factory, making them less involved projects compared to the other 25 classics. In this project we only needed to core the transom, fill the inboard cut out in the stringers, and installed single fuel tank in the motors place to act as ballast. The old saddles in the rear were removed (you could add deck storage here but this client wanted it closed off). We changed the cap to a flat profile. We glassed in all the deck panels while also lowering the normally 1” raised forward floor to being level with the rest of the deck. No more toe kicker! Fabricated a transom livewell and gave it a modern contender console! Finished off in Awlgrip Matterhorn white, Vivid Red boot stripe and Harbor Blue gelcoat bottom

I love when the leaking tanks deteriorate the foam. Makes them come out almost effortlessly, but man does it smell!
