Beautiful Coordinated Wayfinding for a Retirement Community
We completed a project that shows how thoughtful signage can enhance an interior rather than compete with it.

The Challenge
A retirement facility wanted attractive, easy-to-read wayfinding signage beside each residential unit. The space featured a warm color scheme and patterned carpet, but they didn’t have the budget for new wallcovering. They needed a solution that would coordinate beautifully with the existing design while meeting full ADA requirements.

Our Custom Solution
Our main objective was to create a coordinating pattern that complemented the room’s color palette and carpet. Since wallcovering wasn’t in the budget, we engineered elegant custom ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) boxes mounted on the walls beside each door.
We took the look and feel of a durable, high-end wallcovering and reinterpreted it into our own refined floral design. The result is sophisticated panels that:
Seamlessly match the interior color scheme and carpet tones
Feature integrated ADA-compliant raised tactile lettering and Braille
Offer a durable, easy-to-clean finish perfect for senior living

The Outcome
Residents and visitors now navigate confidently through hallways that feel warm, cohesive, and thoughtfully designed. The custom panels turned a functional necessity into a design feature that ties the entire space together — all while staying within budget.

This project is a great example of creative problem-solving that delivers both beauty and accessibility.
