As a culture and organizational development organization we hold this fundamental truth: when black lives matter, all lives will matter. Creating a diverse workforce is only the beginning; an equitable and inclusive one is paramount to a thriving culture - inside and outside the four walls. This requires education and deep listening, audit and action, and, a willingness to do the work. We know we don't have the answers, have our own biases that create harm, and are committed to doing this lifelong work to continuously recognize, unpack, and own our privilege that contributes to the systemic institutionalized racism in our country, how this impacts our work with clients, and ownership and openness to learning when we get it wrong. We grieve for those who have been the targets of a white supremacist violent history that continues today. We have directed our giving toward organizations that are doing the work to dismantle racism such as , The Southern Poverty Law Center, and local efforts here in our Oakland community. We welcome dialogue and are committed to keeping the conversation going so that real change occurs.
